The Steigenberger Inselhotel is one of the best-known addresses along the Bodensee. It is inside a former Dominican monastery on a small privately owned island next to the harbor. As can be expected from a Steigenberger property, the hotel is luxurious, combining its historic location with the latest in modern comforts. Walls are adorned with oil paintings; the cloisters are an impressive public area. Many rooms and public areas have marvelous lake views. All three restaurants serve excellent food, with the Seerestaurant, serving nouvelle cuisine and regional dishes, the best choice.
